hi all,
iv been thinking about fitting a supercharger to my mini and have came across to alot of people putting th sc12 with the h4 carb on it, my engine is a 1275 bored out to a 1310 with AP4 cam shaft? what would do you think about it ? would it have much power increase ?

Yes. Exact amount is hard to say but I'd guess around 25% increase, but this is only a guess.
Boost is always beneficial.

Power increase? Yes, I suppose so. Torque increase? You'd better believe it...

Supercharging increases the power but makes the car much more drivable, too. You (usually) get plenty of low-down torque. If you want stacks of power at high revs, go for a turbocharger.

this may be a future endeavour for me also

Is this a mod one could do on their own with (quite) Limited mechanical knowledge or is it something A mechanic would need to fit for me? I figure i'd need to get it tuned afterwards.

I've fitted one of Ben's SC12 kits and I barely know which end of a screw driver to hold so if I can do it anyone can.

theres plenty of threads already detailing the sc-12 kits, but i would recommend having it fitted by a mechanic if you are not confident.

it will need dizzy recurving and needle grinding so its a must to have it tuned properly.
