hey, should have my first mini in a week or so (finally) It's a 74 leyland with a 1330cc engine. As a future addition i was thinking air conditioner, would something like this be an easy fit or would it not work at all? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/UNDER-DASH-AIR-C ... 1113wt_901 Are there any other options? Cheers for the help Cory |

Hi Cory, depending where you are, Josh from Mini Imports (Ringwood, Vic) may be able to help you out with a 2nd hand kit out of a Rover Mini. I have no idea on the prices but you would have to think it would be competitive compared to ~$900 for something off ebay that you would have to customise to fit. A lot of the Jap import Rovers that can't be legally registered end up as half cuts tend to have aircon. David |

Yeah, forget the ebay one, would be a pain in the bum. A Rover setup is definitely the way to go. I've seen them on ebay for $3-600, so not too expensive. My mate gave me the setup from his halfcut for nix ![]() Josh is the one to talk to ![]() |

The Rover aircon at least occupies the space above the clutch housing, with the compressor I believe below the alternator. Most SC setups place the charger above and behind the engine, so I don't see why you couldn't run both. |

if it's your first mini, just relax and enjoy it as is for a couple of years - get to know the car and how to fix it's little problems before you start making big plans like blowers and air conditioning |
