hey ive been researching about doing a draw through turbo on my 998. but im thinking it might just be better to do a blow through. im thinking of using a IHI RHB51 turbo. just wondering what modifications or tuning need to be done to the SU carby for a turbo set up? or is there a different carby to use? thanx |

Grab a hif44 and put a turbo kit through it. Seals it so it can pressured. Or get a turbo carb but youll probably pay a bit extra for those. And then get a plenum off an ERA turbo and your good to go. |

As said... suck through doesnt need any mods (needle, fuel, etc as per normal tuning) For blow through you need the carb sealed (can buy kits or complete blow through SU from SU Midel in Sydney. Blow Through can be intercooled and more boost run (due to intercooling) Suck through cant be intercooled but might be easier to setup and get a carb for. Cheers, Peter |
