Post subject: | Megajolt ignition engine mods? |
Just about to embark on a Megajolt project on my Morris 1100s, was just wondering if I need to remove the distributor drive shaft when I remove the dissy?. Also would it be practical to plug the hole with a correct size core plug?. Regards, Ash. |

Yes you need to remove the distributor shaft plus plug up the hole There are a few different plugs available, I think i got mine from an Ausmini member, Ben? Here is the plug in situ ![]() |

You can take the dizzy drive shaft out as it is no longer required. You can also put a plug in the hole. There was a member on the forum who was making some aluminium covers, that bolt in place, but a welch plug still does the trick. When i set my megajolt up i actually left the dizzy in place incase i had problems with megajolt, which i didn't, just to begin with. |

You should not leave the dizzy driveshaft in without keeping the dizzy. A Welsh plug will be fine. |

You MUST remove the dizzy drive, it will lump out of its bearing in the block and get twatted bu the crank... not good! |
