I have to replace the tacho in my clubman. The original had connections for a white wire running from the ignition switch to the tacho, and then from the tacho to the coil. Also has a wire going to a screw in the printed circuit behind the speedo and an earth connection on the printed circuit. The (second hand) replacement I bought has the wire going to a screw in the printed circuit behind the speedo and the earth connection on the printed circuit but only has 1 connection on back - can anybody tell me how this hook's up? |

Hey mate. I have the same problem your talking about with my 3 gauge cluster. The 1st one I picked up has one wire from the coil, another from rear of speedo to tacko and wire from resister thing on bottom to tacko. The next one I picked up has another wire heading to tacko (white wire) if I can work out how to post a photo ill show u. We both need opposite tackos lol. |

Yeh, My old one is the same as the lower one in your pic. The heavy white wire comes from the Ignition switch through the tacho and then on to the coil. The one I bought only has the one terminal (like the upper one in your pic) so I assume the feed goes from Ignition switch to the coil and then a wire from the coil back to Tacho but I was looking for confirmation of that. |

Yeah the one u have recently got. The main bigger connector goes to coil and the ignition goes to coil I guess so that white wire u dont need. And the other connector comes from the speedo or resistor thingy. Hope this helps. Either someone else can explain a little better for u to maybe. |
