So whats the go with the fuel pump port on the block when you're running an electrical pump.

is it a oil drain back hole, an engine mount or something more creative?

Its useful to cover it up with a plate.

Sometimes you can put an extra crankcase vent on there, but it cops a lot of engine oil spray.

Miniman and others use it as an oil drain back from the rocker cover on their race engines, but no need unless you have a very high revving race engine with a known oil drain back problem.

I stick a Goss fuel pump in it.

Fit a god size turbo and use it as an oil drain from the turbo :)

Better weight support - The Eaton M45 charger is a heavy beast. Some supercharger kits out there rely on just 4 manifold studs to take the complete weight of not only the charger but also the carb, manifold and inlet tract. The Podifold system can be fitted with an additional brace supporting the weight of the charger and manifold which is bolted to the redundant mechanical fuel mounting at the rear of the engine.

I once put a Cooper S breather can on there with a fresh rebuilt 1360. All went well during running in. However after that, whenever I went over 4500 rpm the crank & rods chucked heaps of oil up it, and it smoked like JB007.

If you must put a breather there, it needs serious baffling. Mini Mania in USA sells a baffled breather but I've not tried it.
