I suppose its similar to asking how long a piece of string is... but I'm grabbing an exhaust off chux this weekend. I was wondering how involved it would be to get it out? the rear and center section should be easy enough I think? whats the best way to get the extractors off and down? I do have a hoist so is it as simple as unbolting the supports and getting it back in? |

I did mine in January. Getting it all apart took 30 minutes, but back together took a bit more time. What manifold do you have now? viewtopic.php?f=3&t=78645&start=165#p963560 I undid the engine steady and tilted the engine over to get it down from the top. I would have though the diff is too close to the body to get it up from the underside of the engine bay? I also had an electrical short where the exhaust was touching the floor start button! |

If you're fitting extractors then you will need a separate manifold for your carby. Btw, you should start a build thread and ask all your questions there, that way we all can read along as you go. It also makes it easier for people to help and advise you as we can get a better picture of what you are up to. Cheers, Richard. |

Has anyone had luck putting extractors on a minimatic? I've got it all aligned etc. Got it 'll put on. But my throttle linkage is fouling the extractors ![]() ![]() |

Matics have a kick down rod from the carby to the gearbox. Not all extractors will fit. Maybe a spacer between the carby and the manifold? |

will get pic up in a sec. Its the kickdown that's foulin. ![]() I will probably go back to standard extractoes for now and have a pipe made to connect the standard extraactors to the rc40 exhaust. ![]() |

![]() Hope that's not too big. Behind the little spring is the lockdown. Yes I know the carb is not right yet. that's cause I undid it to fiddle. When it's on it pulls the lockdown and keeps the throttle steady |

Ok so bend the bracket that the cable terminates at and move the spring bottom clutch point closer to the firewall so it's not touching the exhaust. Sorry if that sounds simple.... But it is. |

Behind the spring it's a solid bit of metal that goes all the way down to gearbox :/ |

possibly. Will have another fiddle later. Also need to put elec pump as with the extractors the fuel line rests on it. might put standard one on later and take to exhaust shop to make a join between standard extractor and exhaust |

Got a different set of extractors to try. will give it a go later. if not off to the exhaust shop it goes. |

new extractors no bueno. put standard one on. will get a pipe to fill the gap between extractors and start of exhaust. then will figure out how to put extractors once the 1275 is on |
