Has anyone (or is it possible) fit the bias spring for rod change cars to a remote extension so it will hold in neutral like a modern gearbox?

??? Assuming you want it to stay in the 3-4 plane. What rodchange Mini got a bias spring?
If you want to stop it jumping the reverse gate on fast 2-3 shifts, just fit a stronger reverse detent spring. I have a `red' die spring in mine for this purpose. It is under the gearbox hex plug behind the oil filter. If you have a reverse light switch there, you will need to make a thinner actuating plunger rod.
