And also Is it possible to use these as a twin setup instead of single, what would I need to do/ buy to them a left & right carb and linkage kits ect? Thanks ![]() |

You can't convert them to a true left and right set. But you can use two of the same side with a special linkage and a single choke. That's what the early tuning kits did. Have you got a manifold? I have a couple spare and some less crusty carbs too if you are interested Here is the original tuning kit: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=73875l So you'll have the carbs and manifold like this ![]() With the linkage setup similar to this ![]() When you get the rebuild kit for the carbs, the new throttle spindles are normally a bit longer than standard, which is what you need. You can then join the throttle spindles similar to above. |

Kits were sold by BMC back in the day for Minis and Morris 1100 using 2 carbs like that. My 850 had a set when bought. They worked OK, however the choke is only connected on one carb. Only problem I found is the W clips on the throttle joining shaft tend to bite into it, making throttle synchronization a hit and miss affair. |
