Ive watched as my bro (Babes) has built up his basically std metro turbo block and bolted on eaton supercharger.
It runs decent engine management and a lot of custom fabrication for a result of 140whp which must be 160 ish at the crank.
I figure 200hp at the crank should be achievable.
Has it been done before? try and keep answers factual please

As simon says... (heh)

Those UK blokes are doing old school turboing (low comp, big lag stuff) but making pretty massive figures.

Im currently building up a small bore hoping for 100hp at the wheels with good off boost driveability which should be achieved with decent static compression

IIRC 200 HP was the power the Metro Turbo Cup cars made back in it's days.

This speed record chasing car was making 280hp with under 1000cc... Not super reliable from the sound of the article though.

Turbo ? entirely possible, Roberts mini is running 250 isch Banannas, he knows what he is doing though and has been sticking turbo's on everything he drives, even his motorbike for decades :)

the project 64 guys. you have to remember that Bonneville is a pretty brutal place, hot, high altitude and WOT for several miles pulling very long gears . Stuff does break.

350bhp on methanol probably more now but it is just an a series short block(ish)

Try breaking 155 BHP at the crank normally aspirated with a 5 porter, it is a lot more interesting ;) and expensive, and gives you headaches.

you should read back on it, pretty sure it was to qualify for a particular class - under 1 litre I guess

it's a great story too
