Hi, I have a 50mm in my cooper S, no body mods at all , but I did have 2 engine mounts made a thicker one on radiator side, and quite a thin one under clutch, it does make fitting bolts on clutch side awkward, but its a nice fit. I have a 70mm on the supercharged moke, but you can lay it on an angle away from the motor. I dont think you need 70mm on a road car, and one fact that nobody ever mentions is the front height of the car, I recently tuned a supercharged car that has blown several headgaskets, they had tried another radiator for the drastic overheating to no avail. apart from tune issues I would be 100% certain that as this car had 6" wide wheels, and tyres that touched the guards on bumps, it does not have enough airflow past the tyre, and thus under the guard is just a continual red hot oven.... you might like low cars for appearance, but there is a big downside. It also had evans coolant, which in itself can make the engine run hotter, due to its different viscosity, as it does flow through the cooling system at a different rate. And i am not convinced on larger diameter water pump pulleys on road cars. Sorry if I have hijacked a 70mm enquiry into cooling system smack smack cheers Lindsay siebler
