I have a power steerining rack that with a bit of Patience would be made to fit in a Mini. Is is the same distance Knuckle to knuckle as the Mini Item. I bought it to fit in My Speedway Mini but I put Racing aside before I put it in. $250 it will be yours.

Can I high jack this thread? I drive a car that has electric power steering. No pumps, belts or hoses. I have always wondered if the steering column could be adapted into a mini. The problem is there are so few of thwsw cars in Oz that I can't find a wreck. It is a Suzuki Wagon R.

Haha, I wouldn't take power steering and my steering wheel is only 10" and it's still easy!

There is/was a place in Hong Kong that makes power steering boxes for Minis, for the Japanese market.
Why... I dunno either!

Unfortunately this site is not very user friendly. I am new to it and don't know how to navigate my way around it much. Every time I either tried to sell soemthing on here or tried to give someone some Info about something or other there is always some idiot making some "dickhead" of a remark. This site is full of kids and wankers too. Without people like us OLDER ones who were born with Minis you will end up being lost as there is a lot that we know and you don't.There will be that question that you will need to ask one day and people like me will not be here to answer for you. Grow up Kids.
I know that there are Minis with power steering and I also know about lots of things about the car that you will never even live long enough to dream on or learn of. If you are not interested in what I put on this site, do everyone a Favor and keep your Mouth shut and your comments to your self. There might be somebody that is willing to learn or try something that you can never try yourself perhapps because of the size of your bank account or Brain even. There are some nice people in this comunity but there are also Idiots. I say again to you Grow up Kids. And leave members who are Fairdinkum be.

"Not user friendly"? - That's calling the kettle black isn't it?

Hint dude: Every one has the right to an opinion - just don't expect everyone to share yours.

Your not doing yourself any favours by having a dummy spit - now no-one will buy the thing off you

Chill

Hey, good luck with the sale, but... this IS a discussion forum, as is Mini Chat. If you want to sell it stick it in the For Sale section.. then we won't kick the thread around.

Don't really see Doc having a dummy spit about the site........ and he's made over 5000 posts :?, and is part of the "older generation"....

The site seems very simple to use for me :?

You want advice??????........... I'd let the younger kids have thier fun because, unfortunatly, if every "older" user on this site had an attitude like yours, the mini would die with your generation, thus killing off the future of a fabulous car.

Without the younger guys gaining knowledge and enthusiasm for the mini......... it' goooone. Because they are young, they're going to make the odd silly statement........

It can't be too hard to read past the statements that don't apply to what you are looking for.

End of Rant

Haha, just how 'old' are you? I'm sure there are alot of older guys here too that can call you young ;)

I'm also sure that there are some 'young blokes' here who could give you a run for your money on their knowledge of the car, they've learnt alot of it from all the oldies here 8)

For someone who is 'older' (i hope you don't have kids..) it is you who is acting immature by having a dummy spit in an online forum just cause your not getting your way...

i've locked the topic.
if u'd like to ask a question about putting power steering on a mini or ask anything mini. Please ask in the 'mini mods' section.

if u want to sell an item mini related please post it in the 'for sale' section, and anything non mini related in the 'other forsale/wanted' section.
