i know this is gonna sound stupid coming from a tyre fitter/mechanic but i was reading my mini manual today and noticed it say to put 28 psi in the front and 26 on the back... usually from what ive been taught on a normal size car u put 32-36

i dont know what to put in, if i put 34 it will make the tyres to hard and bouncey if there to soft they will wear badly on the sides...what does every one recommend?

the fronts need 2 psi more as the weight is there.
32-36psi is too much unless racing.
I run 30F, 28R, on 165/70-10s. They wear even. (Yoko A008s)

They do it at the Dyno so don't put your Pressure up for it. They don't always deflate them down so I take my Pressure gauge with me to put them back to the correct pressure again.
I think its also in the 40's chong going by memmory

Would that be the same for 165/70-12s, Doc? Currently i run 32 - 32 after i learnt. MUCH better than the 36 - 36 i used to do!

Try 36/34 front and 32 rear - see how that feels - the rear is a little lighter and doesn't need as much pressure as the front.
