After another fantastic Hay weekend, I wonder once again, why more people don't make the effort to come to such a well organised, and full weekend of Mini.
So whats your excuse?

Actually Aaron I've asked myself this question several times in the past and this year I asked myself the question quite seriously, even looking up where on earth Hay is. I'm just not sure about 8 hours in the mini and back!?

I tried. I even had a count down on my phone. Didn't get the car in a "complete" state in time. I actually got the car registered on the Friday, by which point it was a little too late to make the 12+ hour drive.
Next year!

50th next year. Drive down in two days, make it a scenic drive.
I would seriously book in early. I doubt that there will be alot of accommodation left for a late booking.

What if I told you that Hay is not just about having your Mini there and competing in a motorkhana?!!! Seriously! Although that adds to it all, if you can't get a Mini there just come anyway. It's hard to explain to people who have never been...

So go to Hay not to compete or even take the mini along?

At the very least! Obviously it adds to the weekend if you have a Mini there and compete, but not doing it shouldn't keep you away!!!
