Engine side of the firewall.

The wiring loom runs across behind the brake and clutch master cylinders and goes into the cabin next to the aircleaner.
The inline fuse will be somewhere along this loom. It is usually a white plastic fuse holder. The wire colour is red with a green stripe.
It could be tucked up under the wiper panel. This fuse supplies power to the parking lights and dash lights.

I would be checking the fuses and connections at the main fuse box. A lot of the time you can get a bad contact with spade connectors at the fuse box.

dawi03...

There is a lesson to be learned here...

Sometimes, the worst thing you can do with car problems is "replace everything" because

A. you may not fix the problem and

B. you risk putting in even more problems!

I'm disappointed that no one here could be bothered throwing up a picture of a firewall to help a newbie....

dawi...its the little black box in this pic...

the cover just pulls off easily...

carefully remove the glass tubes one at a time,

hold up to the light and see if the fuse is still intact (no guaranty that the fuse is good!)

If not, replace with the correct type and rating (got a Workshop Manual yet??)
