Hi All,
Just some feedback if possible;

Is $500 reasonable for a 50% complete 74 mini?
No engine, no subframe (front) no interior apart from rear seats.
Wiring loom is there, lights (sort of), doors reasonably complete.

Rust in usual areas.

Cheers,
Mike

If I'm carrying on like a pork-chop, I'm having a great time.

If I go very quiet there's a very good chance I broke something.

It depends on what you need it for. By that I mean are you buying it to start a project or are you buying it in addition to another car to make 1 good car out of 2 or buying it for a donor car for another car? If you are buying it to start a project, are the repairs needed to restore it within your skill set or do you know someone who can do the repairs cheap or would it be a checkbook restoration? It might work out cheaper in the long run to buy a more complete starting point because all the little bits that are missing can really add up in price.

I would suggest starting with a complete car. The cost will add up very quickly if your missing so much stuff. I have seen heaps of complete cars around $1000 - $1500.

In My opinion if the shell is not rusted, then $500 is cheap just for the shell.
However as others have said to buy all the parts that are missing will cost money,
but then there is no such thing as a cheap restoration any more

if you can find the other half for $500 then it's a bargain...
