Hi all,
Anyone had experience with which rocker covers fit over roller rockers? Standard one I have looks like it will hit both exhaust rockers on 1 and 4 and not entirely confident on the rest.

I have been using TITAN 1.5 :1 roller rockers for 25 years and have never had such problem.

What rockers are you using? I've built 2 engines with Yella Terra 1.5 roller rockers and standard rocker covers with no issues.

Mini sport UK 1.3 for small bore rockers. I might need to set up better in case I am mistaken or contact mini sport and see what they say?

Sometimes with alloy covers and roller (and Corolla) rockers you need to push the cover back slightly. Cut the inside bit off the rubber grommets.
But the stock tin cover should clear 1.3 rollers.

Yep same rockers here and the popular alloy cover fits no problems (as did the stock cover).

The standard cover is the only cover I've found that doesn't foul 1.5 rockers without any modifications. You can buy a new cover without breathers from Minispares and that's what I have

Have had same problem with alloy rocker covers, Had to get inside with a burr to relieve back of R/C, Place R/C on just nipped down and start engine, Tap it back & forth it will almost disappear ,Look inside you,ll see marks where contact has been made, Grind it back gently, rocker either end is first to touch, Tapping the R/C back once it,s at correct tension will help, I,m using MED rockers and the cast covers from minispares or others.

Thanks for the feedback all, I'll have a better look on the weekend. I will definitely need to modify the baffle in front of breather pipe but by the sounds of it pressed steel cover should be ok.

I will keep you posted
Cheers
