I need one...and nowhere sells them!

Where does one go to purchase such a thing???

I don't want to mess around drilling etc to fit fancy ones, just want to chuck one easily.

Same style but those mounting holes don't line up with mine, I tested a pair off a mate. I know drilling holes isn't hard but it leaves my current holes uncovered and would need filling, painting etc.

Really chasing the standard clubby ones!
Cheers anyway!

Not sure if these Tex ones are genuine Clubby mirrors from yesteryear (I doubt it)- but Karcraft also sells them, in chrome.
Note the standard base they come with is plastic rubbish, it goes soft in the summer heat then the mirror can fall off like mine did.
If you buy the Tex chromed plinth from Minispares the mount is more robust, and it lifts the mirror up a bit for better visibility.

[edit] Karcraft now stocks this plinth.

The original Clubman Mirror was Made in Australia By a Company called Wibroc,
Another Australian Manufacturer who no longer exists
There is a Guy who attends swap meets who refurbishes these and sells them
I do the same but at present I do not have any to refurbish, Check ebay, sometimes they come up there,
As a matter of interest this mirror was fitted standard to the Mini* P76 *Marina* and Morris1500,and was avail as an accessory for all other makes of cars

They don't exist as far as I've found out.

Carbon fibre bike mirrors are pretty cheap though.

When I fitted a Tex one to my Mini, there was 1 hole that wasn't covered. It now has a shiny chromed screw in it, doesn't look too bad.

As John Smidt has already stated, the mirrors were made by Wibroc for BMC. In fact they were simply one of Wibroc's standard mirror product range. In the brochure below they are the Panorama mirror with Continental head.

They regularly appear on eBay although more often with the rectangular or round head. If you aren't especially after originality of the mirror head but want the correct base you can use one of these.

I purchased the following one with a rectangular head on eBay recently - $8 plus postage. Put Wibroc in your eBay search and you should find one.

Hey John,
I have 3 or 4 of them for my GT's but they are a bit tatty. How do you refurbish and how much to do it?
It's mainly the bases.
Cheers
Rod

Rod - this thread is from 3 years ago, just revived by GuamMini for some reason. I'll ask John next time we speak if you wish?

Did not notice the dates but would still be interested to know if John can refurbish them.

As the Splines in the bases get chewed out from turning the mirror to different positions and then they do not stay where they are supposed to and droop all the time and eventually wear a spot in your paint.

I didnt think these were repairable So am interested as well
