Just going to ask my question here as well.

Not mine but interested, how long can a block gather patina, before it needs another re-bore?

don't buy a block expecting to keep the bore that's in it - without precision measuring equipment you have no idea of ovality... unless it has perfectly clean hone marks, you must assume that a rebore is required

looks like it may need a tunnell bore tho,,, quite rusty on the main cap area-s on the block

Got the opertunity of getting a "complete unit" now, for around 4k most ancillaries inc.

"two year old" motor (should last a wile int he current config). would just need some drive shafts, clutch slave cylinder. Accelerator cable, choke cable. most of which are readily avaliable.

Thoughts?? FYI it is an 1100s motor as well

I think Lillee put in a typo, that 12YD/Ta/H engine number is Morris 1100S (which is a 1275).
It has had the extra head stud and bolt added. As have many since.

Yes, I do know that (having got one myself). Just didn't understand the double not.
