There's also this one in the How To section

You might want to check if it's legal in QLD as it is a structural modification.

You'll need it engineered.....if you're allowed to do it at all!

I built my road mini with a tilt forward fibreglass front and removable bonnet. I fitted structural braces that bolt onto the bulkhead (where the shocks mount) and mount onto the front of the subframe. I had a QLD Engineer inspect my design, hinging, fixing style and application. My shell is a Leyland and I fitted a Morris front.
He needed more information and I also provided him some pages form Vizard's book 'How to modify your Mini'. Vizard stated that the front of the body shell is only panels and not structural. The structure is actually the two subframes and the body bracing between them.
I have a QLD engineers blue plate, it's road legal and insured. Been driving it on the road for almost 3 years now.

There was a yellow one in the Forster area I believe was engineered (It was for sale a few years ago and was told so). I had a look while it was for sale. All indicators were that it was Clubman with a round nose flip front added (*cough* from memory being passed off as a Cooper *cough*). Seriously, square rear tail lights, high back seats etc etc.

Edit: just found and old photo. June 2014. Even had an old Leyland badge lol not trying very hard (zoomed in)
