can somebody help me please I have put a deposit on what I was told was a 1972 mini clubman GT it has the nos YG2S7 and has disc brakes only one fuel tank and screwed on wheel arches black also on engine are numbers 1010/1178 , it has a new interior, they are asking $9500 new gear box and head ...

Its not a GT. A GT is YG2S8 and will say it on the compliance plate.
It is an early Clubman with an 1100cc engine.

Yg2s7 is a standard clubman mini. The single fuel tank confirms this. These wouldn't have come with flares.
A GT is yg2s8 and would have 2 fuel tanks, factory fitted steel based flares.

The engine number 1010 isn't familiar but 1001 indicates a 1100cc engine (again std for a clubman where a GT would have 1275cc engine with twin carbs)

Disc brakes would not be standard on a 1100cc clubman.

So do u think it could be worth $9500 with a roadworthy
