hey all, found this in a catalouge today and now i want one!!! It does everything

thats awesome, you think you can change the car to a mini too?

are you serious you can pick those things up for $265US? thats not bad seeing it does everything! It would be too much of a distraction for me though :P but I want it! Impress your mates heaps! :D

yer i found this one on ebay..the cheapest was US $257.20 (plus postage of course) but not bad.

the biggest problem, is do they have the gps cd for australaia and the conversions from mph to kph

Would be interesting to find out how much they are here.

It says I can connect it to my DVD player in mutant as well for touch screen operation.

Might have to look into it a bit more.

I was looking at purchasing one of these, but i believe that you need to have the top of the range pioneer head unit which is pricey, dont quote me on that though.

Has anyone been able to gather any info on how it processes information? I understand how the sat nav stuff works but I wouldn't buy it for that.

I would be after it for the instrument cluster. How does it pick up revs, speed and all the stuff it guages it has? Surely it would be as easy as hooking up the standard sensors?

I don't know about the specifics of this one but a lot of the data loggers being developed these days have the ability to directly interface directly with the ECU. This negates the need to set up an independant wheel speed sensor which can be a pain and it is messy to double up on sensor wiring and connections for temps etc.

there is a little PC chip in the attachment that tells the car lighter what to do...

don't ask me how i know that
