HI all as kevin said put up some links here as i was out testing the NEW 308 cam from graham russell just to see how it performed.

I recieved it fri3rd of june and frantically strated to asssemble the rest of the motor (being a motor of hi spec i wasnt going to take any chances with assmebly hassles), the motor was finished on the sunday with 2 days spare to insatall it and sort out any hassles i still hada day in hand to go out and give it a test drive, well that didnt work out due some some snotty nose little brats stealing my METRO that one of my guys uses to do work for me so i ended up spending half my tuesday running around sorting that out.
Wednesday morning the car was loaded onto the trailer for a dyno run to make sure everything is sweet before i go and hammer the daylights out of it on the track.
Dyno produced another 5kw (7.5hp) on the front wheels so wasnt too far off but was upset that it recons my car only had 55kw (76hp on the front wheels) but time would tell as figures really dont make a difference untill they are compared to other cars on the track.
I didnt even take the car off the trailer from wednesday and all i did was fit my ward mags and 10inch slicks over the uprated S brakes and headed up to taupo on the friday morning.

saturady the big event with over 70 cars from all corners of NZ rocking up it was going to be an interesting day, i had been warned to warmt he tires up and get the pressures right after a few laps so i took it out and it was horrible, so i bought it in and checked all the pressure and got them all even again and even worse, the problem was driving in a straight line it was jumping a full car width sideways at about 140km/h something was realy wrong and a seroius doubt came into my mind, I was told to check tyre diameter as no2 tyres are the same but as long as it was within 20mm the limited slip diff wouldnt pick it up, needless to say the 2 front tyres were 44mm different in diameter so i changed it for a tyre on the rear that was 3mm different andall problems solved.

Now i could actually drive the car and see what this cam is capapble of, im still smiling as there was not much out there in a straight line that had the speed and performance my car had, i just had to do something to keep up with the race boys on handling they would have the edge on the corners but not on the striaghts .

The car ran the whole day and other that getting the tempreture down a bit it never missed a beat and would do it again next week.

I havew a few links that have been posted up for me i hope you can watch them.

Hey Jai, looks like y'all had fun there.
What speed do you get thru that left hander?

got to love Taupo, spotted an austin wagon original as and also a granny driving a mint Riley Elf when i was there. how many poms are you putting up with over there at the moment? most of them have deserted oz for the moment, but seeing as you kicked their ass tonight i'd say they will be back soon! Downloading your files at the mo so will have a look

HI GUys, yeah invaded with poms at the moment but tis all good and causing no problems besides there slow driving on the roads.
yeah no rain it was a little nippy but we had mist in the morning on the track you couldnt see 10m infront but just as we were about to go on the racing gods cleared the track and the track only about 20m off the track the mist/fog was still thick and couldnt see thru it but on the track was perfectly clear.

I dunno what speed was going thru the long left hander but down the back straight i was gettting 165kph in 3rd gear, i suppose somehwere around the 80-90kph mark as i was high in the revs in 2nd gear, but the race boys are a lot quicker thru there as they have the better suspension and recon on a race day its flat out in 4th, sorry my balls aint that big on road set up to try it.

Are you talking about the left hander at the end of the start finish straight the one that cambers the wrong way?
going thru there at about 120-130kph i suppose as its just a little dab on the brakes and foot flat down to make sure you stay on the track, cometo think of it the whole track is left handers other than 1 small right hander.
