G'day guys,

I want to take out my front subframe to start on this engine conversion this weekend if I get time.

Is it a big job? I havent had a look at it yet. Will the hydro suspension make anything difficult? How should I do it?

Cheers
Dan

Only difference between dry & hydro subfrmes is you have to undo the hose connecting the bags to the pipe to the rear bags. It's not rocket science 10 bolts & some gentle prying will get it out.

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

Piece of cake.
marcsvenson has just asked the same thing in "mini chat"

Just remember, before you go gung ho at unbolting the subframe:
- drain hydrolastic fluid
- undo steering
- undo brake lines

Lot easier than trying to figure out why the bugger won't come out
& finding the brake lines still attached  (been there)

Watch out for the starter cable as well......sometimes like mine its attached to the subframe...its a pain in this ass when your trying to pull it out!
