Cushy ya wierdo.
Its not natural conversation.
It was a MAD conversation.
Full of RAGE.

And no a police officer can give you an hour to drive the car normally and then only to a place of repairer and home.
Three days is "usually" the maximum the give.
Its not always three days tho, Cush.
And no a clearance is not by default. You must apply for it at a police station and have sufficient NEED for the application.
I told em school and work, and he said yeah thats fine.
He, too, was outraged that the car was defected.... some sarge from Norwood.

And no im not punk; that'd be Spaceboy. :)

"Hey mate i like what ya wearing... but i'd hate to see you wear it anywhere but here"

:?
My apologies for being up too late or being a bit slow, but can someone please explain this sledge to me? :)

Also, do the SA police have a bad reputation? I've been told that in Vic any mention of bacon will earn you clip over the ear  :!:

Ben, Traffic Operations Officers, when riding motorcycles, must wear the skin-tight leather pants and knee-high leather boots.
Looks very ... yeah
And yes; SA police are called all sorts of things, but generally they are quite good.
Police in cop cars, yeah theyre all good.
Police on cop bikes, look out if your car is modified or whatever, they'll ping ya for it!

i got defected once on my P's...
but the cop was really nice about it and just gave me a cop shop defect..
it could have been worse, but i kept my mouth shut and was polite when answering questions.
the guy in the cop shop at norwood was really nice to me...

now if i see a cop while driving my mini, i run and ask questions later..

This is the second defect i've had.
Both during "random licence checks".

And people wonder why I dont go "cruising" anymore.

Last time i tried to get off defect, it took me 4 attempts and $500 in temporary modifications - all of which were removed an hour after getting cleared.

Why 4 attempts??? The exhaust was too loud - a massive 0.4dB over legal.... 3 bloody resonators later  Couldnt believe it.

Will, your car needs to be perfect. Regency wont just check the height, they give you the full treatment - brakes, lights, seatbelts, seats, exhaust, oil leaks, ball joints, engine number, tyres, tint, wiper and washers.... and you'll need that front arch put back on too.

You think its a breeze? Think again.

My old '850' van got defected... Had nothing to do with the fact i was driving like a mad man posessed thru the halls at the time, of course... :)

I was on a hill, so he let the handbrake go, ...it rolls... he pulls the handbrake up 2 CLICKS and it stops dead. (How 'bout that for a mini) And he has the tenacity to tell me "Nope, your handbrake needs checking"... Yeah, righto...

Looks under the back, to see 1x Facet fuel pump, with 1x fuel line, and 1x red wire, all nicely tied to the frame, and says "Those wires and fuel lines are too messy, and they are too low. No good."

He also piced on a TINY clunk in the steering, and, of course, too loud. It had a hottie 998 and 'S' discs at the time, and the engine no. wasn't changed on the paperwork.

BULLSHIT!

He gave me half an hour to get home. I fiddled around fixing it for a while, and eventually sold it to Steve, he put an 850 and drums back on it to get it rego'd.
