apparently bp premium already has valve protection in it so us leaded cars dont need to add flashlube or what have u if we're using 98 octane BP premium.

i was told by a mate who is a merc mechanic and worked at BP for 3 years before hand.. so im thinking he'd know

I've got nothing against your mate, but he'd only know the things that people have taught or told him, which is not necessarily the truth. I personally dont believe anything until i have solid proof that it is true... video evidence, facts and figures, that kinda thing...

I wouldnt believe the brochures anyway... we've seen the facts from independent studies, Aussie fuel is not rated as high as the fuel companies say it is.... some is even diluted with kero!!!

I searched the BP site a while back. BP Ultimate comes from Kwinana, WA. No mention of valve protection additive in it. In LRP yes, but we all know that's sh!te don't we.

I'll stick with the Flashlube... I know it works and I've seen what happens in 6 months on unleaded without any additive...
