Actually no william you couldn't. My cars are legal. It's simple, know the rules, don't break them, maintain your car and you won't b driving an illeagal and more importantly unsafe car.

Aaron

Get real.
They can do you for anything.
I'm sure if you brought it round to Regency they could show you a few things that even you didn't know that they could do.
Trust me mate.

William i would not trust anything you said, you lost that privlage with the constant dribble that you seem to keep forcing upon the masses on this board. So unless you have something that is even close to being contructive to say, don't say it..... Yep go on hit the reply button and force your dribble on us all once more.

Okay Aaron, your reason is valid

So now, hear it from me.

I'm sure if you brought it round to Regency they could show you a few things that even you didn't know that they could do.

And they are not leniant either. If your exhaust is 1/2 a dB over, your car will fail. I've gone thru in a new car with an unmodified FACTORY exhaust that went over the legal limit by half a decibel and they failed the car... THEN I had to peel off my FACTORY tint because they changed the laws, making my FACTORY 35% tint illegal.

Their tests dont take 3 to 4 hours for no reason

What are these guys anally retentive or something? That's just rediculous, a factory car being illegal in some way. Prove to me that the stringent rules in SA means that less people per population are dieing in SA than anywhere else in Australia with less stringent laws. Then prove to me that it has anything to do with 35% darker window tinting, 1 decibel louder exhaust or air horns...

welcome to nazi germany fellas...

it's true that they can find fault with any and every car.
the idea is to run from the coppers so they can't defect you or impound your vehicle.

Then when these are like this:

The pilots seat of the old bitch:

Back seat:

(and yes - i do have it belted in when i'm driving... i took the photo just before i took it out)

Air horns:

And i'll let you guess what these are:

Sooooooooo, now what? You get it passed... what then? Put it all back on and wait for the next defect session?
Or do you leave it off and keep it a Grannymobile... and hope the Gestapo will leave you alone!

<note to self... NEVER emigrate to SA!> 8)

Well... most* people, once they pass Regency, return their car exactly to how it was before they were defected.

*you could call me one of most people.

:D

Some things are best not said.
It's if you have an accident that causes injury, that a little bit more than a defect notice is of concern. You've had a bad month mate, I'd do what the nice man said. Age does a great deal for intelligence. :D
