Hi all i decided to have a peek at ebay while i was on the net and came across a few interesting items that made my ears ning nong up.

One of them is this item Item number: 4568168573 (sorry dont know how to do the link) but i though that was cheap at half the price and wondered if that is what they cost over there let me know and bring a truck full over and retire.

There were a few other items that were on the cheaper side but not by much.
why is it people try to make a killing out of parts listed on ebay and also postag costs, stickers for $10 postage are they scared that the sticker its self is not worth the money.

ARe items on Ebay too expensive in comparrison to new items, or do you only find the odd bargain, or are all items cheap

Too many people think if it's on eBay it must be a bargain.. then they spend more than retail `coz they didn't do their homework first.

Lots of scammers too... here's the latest.

I buy a bit off Ebay...but as Doc rightly pointed out, you need to know retail. When buying off Ebay you need to be doubley sure that the 'bargain' you are getting is still going to be a bargain after post cost.

Ebay fetches the market value for an item, That is unless it is a new item, then it can go either way.
You dont get a bargin off ebay generally, But the best indication of market price.

It's not whether ebay stuff in general is expensive or a bargain, it comes down to the individual item. As people have said, if do your homework first, especially with new stuff. With second hand stuff, if ya hang around here long enough you'll soon work out if something is a bargain or not. 8)

When someone sells something for $1 on ebay with huge freight the idea is to get their ebay cost down as they get charged more for an item that sells for a lot than something cheap (so a friend of mine who sells on ebay tells me) and freight is not included in the price they are billed on.
I find that if someone has an ebay shop and a website, often the mini gear is cheaper on the website. I've paid a little extra that way myself but i've never paid over the odds because I know roughly the value of what I'm bidding on - that's the lesson!

22G333 was the original MK1 1275S box. S ratios, helical.
There was a close ratio helical set available for it, and a close ratio straight cut set.

Ebay is cheap if you know what your looking for and what the regular price is. Otherwise, mostly it's a rip off
