Well, i always thought it was to simple an answer, but
a recently aquired brochure proves that the "S" on the
clubman "s" actually does stand for "Super" mini!!!

Well, not that you need to be told, we all know the clubby S rules!!

I got a stack of old magazines from my grandpa the other day, and there was this 1973 "Modern Motor"

Inside was an ad for the Mini Clubman. There was a picture of a Clubman GT doing the old style 'Autocross', and whilst one wiper was still stationary, the one on the drivers' side was off the side of the window. (This thing was about 3 feet off the ground at the time and covered in mud)

"We've already proved it...Mini. You don't have to prove a thing"

Along with "Leyland, The Driving Force". Oh, what a forced that must have been.

Yeah well at least GT tax wont be as much as Cooper S tax.
Do they have discount vouchers now for Cooper S parts?
Something to think about.
