Hey all,
I'd just like to know what thickness a Metro Turbo vented disc is when new
and what the smallest allowed thickness is for machining purposes.
Also, will they need engineering certification once fitted to my car?
(ok, technically they won't need it, but should I do it)
Thanks.

not sure on the thickness but i was told by link automotive that theres no need to engineer them as they are still classed as bmc items and you dont have to get bmc items looked at???
mine wernt as i was told not too.
but would like to here from anyone else on this subject??
ive just had mine replaced with new items so i could messure them for you if you want??
also ive got a pair witch i was told were still ok all they need is a machine...mite post these in for sale section later on if i decide to sell them.

If you can measure them for me that would be great.
Obvoiusly I'm trying to work out how good or bad the set I picked up are.
If they're still full thickness, I'll just machine them, but if that's already been
done before on them I'll go the newies.
Thanks.

I got a brand new set of metro ventilated rotors, they only bout $75 the set I think they were, damn cheap anyway.
If you're in doubt go a new set and keep those as spares ;)

i have fitted them to mine plus some minispares 4 pots and have not got them engineered, i am under the impresson that if its for safety and help the car to control etc then no need to engineer. only engineer when performance or chassis mods are done.

but thats me
