I've noticed my throwout bearing is starting to whir, so guess that it will prolly seize next time I get to drive it (it's in Perth and I'm now back in Sydney till Jan).
I got 8 years out of it so I'm happy enough, but are more reliable bearings available from different manufacturers or car models?

RHP ones last way better than the Jap made ones.
The early `flat' bearing looks heavier duty than the common late one. I've heard an Austin Kimberley one fits too.

Where do you get the RHP ones from then?

I'm sorry, but my pride won't let me use an Austin Kimberley part though.

Good question , I'm after one as well. I know Minispares don't and they claim the opposite stating that pommy ones are made in china and are crap compared to the Jap ones :?

True. If I can't get RHP, I'll buy the big early ones from somewhere.
Even an Austin Kimberley one...
