Best thing to do is bolt a chunk of zinc to the underside of your car. Sacrificial anode.. like in ships and boat outboards.....
BTW thats why your ally thermostat housing corrodes to buggary, with this new coolant stuff.
If you buy a chromed thermostat housing make sure that the underside is exposed so that it can corrode. Stops important bits in your engine from corroding. Easier to change a 15 dollar thermostat housing as opposed to a water pump
