did the wheels come via a courier? ie dhl etc or by std mail
IF buy courier you will be charged for anything of 150 a percentage plus GST. now for Wool it is around 20%(my wife imports stuff)
If they came via post you will have had a limit of 1500... each package is dealt with seperatly.
You will have to have a look at the customs regs on there site as to how much you will be charged for automotive stuff for personal use. Could be exxy, but here's hoping.

Cheers

Aaron
PS welcome back by the way

Those wheels are HOT :!:

Hope they don't slug you too much
But you don't really need them for another couple of months.
Don't get impatient now :)

Duty should be 15% and 10% GST if over $1000 total value, if under this amount no charges are payable, it all changed a couple of weeks ago with customs raising the limit from $250

Nice looking wheels

Jon

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you're waiting on them to clear customs, you're in for a wait. And I mean a long one.

Customs in their wisdom have introduced a new 30 Million Dollar computer clearance system (Which has so far cost about $200 million and counting). Basically, they introduced it before having it trialled and working properly and it DOESN'T F#$KING WORK. I know this because my Missus is a Customs broker and I don't see her much at the moment.

Imported items into the country just AREN'T clearing customs and most ports around the country are so full and backlogged that they are in danger of having to turn away ships. Port Botany alone has over 10,000 containers sitting there dormant.

Typical Damn Government. Don't you love knowing where your tax dollars go

Have Fun!!

yeah I herd that on the news.. but I dont think its as bad as they are making it out to be.. i think they were moving 8000 containers out today..

last few days they moved 45% of stuff so its not that bad..

And by the looks of things its more a problem with transport places not getting there goods out in time..

so I am thinking smaller stuff will be ok.. but Big lots of stock will take longer..\

I hope.. HAHA..
