lay glad wrap over the paint stripper when you paint-strip your panels for re-spray. Comes off alot easier.

The gladwrap holds the fumes in contact with the paint so it strips better.

I would say not. If they have rust on them they are not going to get any worse in molasses. Lots of people dip engine blocks etc in the stuff, do a quick google if you don't trust my judgement.

It works brilliant! My great uncle put this old manual grinder that was all seized and a big ball of rust. He forgot about it and 6 months later, it was like new!

He's also unsiezed stationary engines in it aswell.

Yep. It certainly works alright. I started using it 30 years ago on some rusty tools on the advice of an old farmer. Still have some in the shed. Mind you, these days I have my own home-made hot dip caustic soda tank. Doesn't taste anywhere near as good as the molasses though.

GR gave the molasses a nice push in the latest TME - I just got an S block back from the reconditioners and the rust is still in the water galleries so I'm off to the supermarket for some molasses

I read that today as well Simon. I don't think you will find bulk quantities of molasis at Woolies. Go to a stock feed place.

LOL i am glad this was bought up! Good on Graham Russel! What a legend!!!

Kev has gone out and bought 20Kg of the stuff

I will try it on an old rusted block to see if it can be salvaged. It looks alot like that crank Bromley so should come up good
