O.K i am actually finnishing a project started by my brother before he passed away which is where my problems started lots of stuff,but where from and off what???the body no.s are 34231 with 34083 below it, the engine no.is 99H834AJH7154,head no. 12G202 and a set of twin s u's on a manifold which just wont clear the firewall the only no. on that is AEA634 in the centre can anybody tell me anything as there is also a 1275 out of his clubby sitting behind parents shed still in subframe that i might consider if other engine is no good(all new gaskets and paint,but did he rebuild or just replace gaskets???)any help please :?Image

The engine you have in there (99H..) sounds like it is a 998 block but has a 1100 head(12G202) on it. It may also have an 1100 crank (I am guessing but putting twin SUs on a 998 would be overkill IMO).

The 1275 will give you more power but you should look at getting disks to go with it does the clubby subframe still have the brakes attached and are they disks? Cooper S disks are selling for ~ $1500 so they aren't cheap :cry:

If the clubby subframe has the same suspension setup as your mini you might be able to swap the subframe in if that helps (clubby and round nose subframes are the same)

Thanks macca's idea sounds like the way to go and sorry gt1310 the 55 is actually my pride and joy undergoing a full bare metal rebuild 8)
