For those that don't know, I managed to score the job as Summernats webmaster this year, and was out taking lots of photos, since we didn't have live webcams..

Thought folks might get a kick out of these two:

Can you still call that a mini?

Saw one of the guys from wagga there and took a few snaps, but they got veto'd off the website as it was a stocker :/ Whoever it was, if you're on the forums here, and want copies of the pics, lemme know and I'll upload them and email you the URL :)

Took just on 2500 photos (5.1GB) over the four days - wow that was a lot of shots!

Cheers,

DG

No, no photos were taken, and we made sure the media guys left with no photos of it.. Don't need the media making a circus of it before it ends up in court (which I'm sure it eventually will, despite the fact that they're also good friends with chic)

There's heaps of photos at http://www.summernats.com.au/outandabout2006.htm - was the better of the photos that I took throughout the event.. Would be more, but can only fit so much before the bandwidth requirements start going nuts.. When I get some free time I'll go through the 2500 photos I've got and put them up on my own server and post a link here :)

Rendrag,
The Wagga mini was Laurie Dorans orange/red coloured K. Send through the pics because I am sure he would like them.

We had the mild to wild V8 ute on display at our October Mini Muster - just got back from a meeting where we were planning this years event.

Good work on the website!
Andy.

I spoke to my mate today, he is OK but his son will be off work for a while due to hand injuries, his grandson is pretty good considering he had a ute run over him. His mobile phone was also stolen during the all of this.

The organizers have not helped his family in any way at all apart from giving him the rego of the ute.

Thats ok your mate will be able to claim against the summer nats as this is an event they run by them and they are ultimatley responsable.
