Hi guys and tea makers...
I had a bit to drink yesterday and as a result, started buggering around with the car.
So I took the dashboard out just to see how it looked.
it's this style (thanks makka)
but it's
very faded. (excuse the mess)
Typically, i don't have a picture of the shelf without the dash
it's only a veneer but i was thinking of getting someone (f. in-law) to see if he can make up one out of solid timber. and if it looks good, i might put it in or flog it off. (i might even get him to make a couple more and flog them off too

)
i'll see if i can get a pic up tonight so the masses can cast their verdict. i happen to think it makes the car look alot more vintage without the dash. (The wife thinks it looks dumb without the dash so i think i like it without even more

)
While i had the screwdriver in my hand, i thought i'd have a go at getting the door glass out, (1 x bottle of pinot noir doing the thinking, remember)
but the screws were rusted and i couldn't budge them(even with crc).Will that mean they'll have to be drilled out? (lucky i couldn't find the drill last night!)
I decided then that i'd try a "Rolling Restoration". Since my car is grey anyway, it won't look anymore dodgey than it is if i'm driving around with a few panels in primer.
i've been looking at the pic in my signature for a while (it's photoshopped to take out the rust

) and i'm starting to like the white and i'm thinking that'd be a good clour to try..
i think i need more tools....
