I had my Mini bead blasted in and out, and then as part of the deal they sprayed it with some undercoating stuff? was a couple of years back, and that was about 1200$. Didnt warp any panels, but did a great job of removing all of the bog and crap, even underneath the car. unfortuanely, well.. kind fortunately, I found a few bits of rust and small pin holes starting, mainly in the spare tyre well and on the bottom of the back seat, but I dont think I would have noticed these until it was too late, so im glad I was able to get these all fixed up before painting and anything else was done.

"Brown_Clubman's" paint stripping method (with glad wrap). That is brilliant! I will be doing that on my GT.

What is Brown's method? is there a post somewhere that explains it??? i think maybe sandblasting will be a little $$$ for me.

Works a treat!!

Paint stripper I used was
"CAM Camstrip Automotive Paint Stripper"
4Lt for $30.

A good invesment in your sanity as well as you're car's metal. Minimum scraping requjred!!

kids these days... if only they'd learn to read

A good sandblasting job will cost around $900 for a mini
This includes spraying with an etch primer after to prevent rusting
PM me for a Brisbane contact
