I've driven quite a few excels and they drive 'fine', the gearbox is a non event though and I hate the looks I get driving crappy excels with loud exhausts. The power steering on em is too light, and the non power steering ones are a touch heavy, guess they are just crap no matter what!

Guess driving jap cars I should change down more often - I'm used to driving cars with a feature called 'torque'.....

I know a guy who had a Jag V12 fitted to his mini van. It was a little too much torque though, apparently it almost shook to pieces. If anybody knows of him, did he ever put the thing back together again?

I had a ride in a Mini with G13B Suzuki power- it had NO torque below about 4500...

have hardly ever stalled it, right now my problem is keeping the right down while the left goes down too
the corolla was the first modern car that i had ever tried

Dont have any problems with the Trueno clutch.........very nice and easy to use.

Mind you the exedy clutch on my brothers old RX7 was a bastard.......either in or out and nothing in between. Was good for relatively high rpm launches though :P

Ahhhh, the wonderful world of the "button" clutch.

I had a pretty serious clutch in my old car, I actually broke the welds for the seat mount coz the bugger took so much to push to the floor. I only knew one girl with legs strong enough to drive it. I wish I still knew that girl
