Someone on here has to be able to help.

When the 850 came out they had a rear window sticker that ran along the bottom of the window. It was red with white writting and had a point at each end. I know the shape and colour and have blury pictures in photos but am unsure of the wording. I saw a faded one years ago just can't remember what it said.

Any one know for sure any pics?

I need to know.

Does anybody have a copy of modern motor from may 61 the sticker is on that cover

steve

I'll get back to you Steve , I'll check the old magazines and see if I can find one with the sticker you're after . I haven't seen one that I can think of .

Do I qualify as a part legend if I come up with poor quality pictures of the inside of the window ???? I've got 3 different Australian 850 sales brochures and they all only show it from the inside . This is the clearest pic I could get of it , not much to go on really .

Don't know if you can do anything with it but it's been enlarged already and is printed material rather than a straight photo so will be limited . Also , I found the original road report on the sports850 which showed a similar sticker on the back window , very obscure and pixelated but it had the sports850 badge in the middle of it and similar shaped things on either side as to the normal 850's rear window sticker . I can send you a scan of the article if you like but it's pretty hard to see .

Could be an adaption of that , an arrow either end and "which way is an engine Morris850" perhaps ? Personally I would have thought it would be a logo of some form either end but that could fit ?????

This is the first page of the sports850 article with the sticker on the back window , you can just make oout the sports850 logo in the middle but the ends look the same as the other one , unfortunately it's too hard to see what it is .....

I'll check with some of my "older" mini mates who worked for dealers at the time and see what they remember .

Rae may have a picture of it somewhere among her 40 year collection, but I do think I've asked over the past 4 years I've been a member which reminds me memberships are due if anyones forgotten.
