its not just that its the methanol they run cools the engine so much they actually dont need cooling like std motors.

Ill be doing this to my mini drag motor when i get round to it later this year.

Nahh, you HALF Fill it with concrete....the bottom half - lets face it, there isnt a lot of cooling going on down there, and it stiffens the block incredibly !

only done it to one engine a 0.120" over Holden V8 .....

Yes, it was a Drag engine..... :oops:

Works well , just be careful what you use though , some grout mixes (specialist stuff for construction) expands as it hardens . There's a non shrinking grout (numbers escape me at present) that works well and hardens without shrinking or expanding but the exanding stuff will put a lot of load on the block . Won't crack the block at first but after a couple of runs it get's too much for it .
