Anton,
My GT is painted Black below the sill join as inthe picture. The inside windscreen pillars above the dash top are also painted a flat/satin black over the body colour. I think it was only the GT that had the black below the sill. Not sure about the windscreen pillars.

Regards
RonR

Thanx Ron. It might have been a GT thing to have black under the sill seam.

Anton,
There are at least 2 maybe 3 different colours all called Silver Birch.
The first dates back to 64/65 and is colour No 06968.

I checked the tin of Silver Birch that I have, and it was this mix.

I picked up 6 GT rims last night. One has no tyre fitted. The inside of the rim, that is usually covered by a tyre, appears to be the correct colour and in good condition. It would be good to get a paint match from this (and compare it to the 3 colours that BMC/Leyland painted wheels).

OK....time fo rmore questions.

Did GT's have these carpet pads? Claimed to be Cooper S only.

Also, can any former GT owners tell me what colour seat belts were available?

Thanks

Anton, Leila was a 74 clubby with kidskin colour interior (well there abouts)
and she still had the old skool orignail seatbelts (just same as GTones) and
they were brown. SOi would say that brown would be corrct with kidskin

BC and yaself but i just keep not doin it! maybe i burn you a copy of the CD i did

Steering wheels....

Which is right for a GT?

Image

OR

Image

Both seem to take the same centre piece, but one has more of an angle on the spokes than the other. Is this just the angle of the pic, or were there 2 types? I am pretty sure my Mini K had the latter type (if there IS 2)

Anton,

The original wheel came with my green GT. It is the angled type.
