You can buy a nice NEW speedo for Morris (200KMH, Cooper S) to suit your 3.44 diff.
73 quid at MiniSpares, plus freight etc..

see http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=35899

I was going to get one a while back- it was 2 weeks wait, so I got the 130MPH/200KMH one.

These were on the early innocenti minis, they then changed to that cool moulded panel with first 5 and then 6 clocks with smaller speedo and a rev counter- which was probably the best dash ever made for a mini - too bad they are all in LHD.

Notice though that the italian oval dash had the fuel gauge separately and the temp one in the speedo.

73 quid they can have them  . I'll see how the one I have here go first.
I noticed the temp gauge in the speedo and the fuel on its pat and its all in Italian. I have seen the Innocenti 5 dash, Love it but I did notice it was in a left hand drive. I wonder if you could just turn it upsidedown on put it on the right. Of course spinning the dials 90deg's.
I agree the best mini original dash. 8)

Another `roundnose size' speedo that will read pretty right with a 3.44 diff and 10" wheels, is the 1275 `big wheeled' Moke one- it goes to 140KMH.
I got one that's going into our `not 850'- will show you tomorrow.
