This morning on the way to uni, I was in an accident in my mini (1993 Rover Mayfair). A woman came at me head on, on my side of the road, and there was nothing i could do about it. Shes written my car off, but i walked away with little more than a sore neck and shoulders. :x
Im devastated. It took me years to save and look for a decent Rover, and I just ordered $3000 worth of parts from the UK.
Could get it fixed but theres so much damage A-Grade panels think its not worth it, and now im just thankful that ive still got my legs (as im an elite distance runner), so i think il get a slightly more safer car.

Sad day.

Sorry to hear about your mini , try and save it if you can , as for your comment about getting a safer car , you've already got out of a head on with a sore neck and shoulders than it can't be too unsafe . Nothing you can do in situations like that except hang on and wait for it all to stop . Any photo's of the damage ?

Safer car?
Over the course of last year there were at least 8 minis pranged or written off.
Everyone walked away.

Sorry about your car, I hope all works out for you.

What side of the road do you Mexicans drive on anyway?

Maybe she was from Sydney and got confused...

sydney poeple cause havoc in Geelong. They seem incapable of reading road signs if they have a caravan on the back.

IT SAYS ADDED LANE, TOOLS!

[/rant]

mate, that sucks. Glad to know your ok though. I take it you got the womans details? Its her fault, so she should be paying, yes?

Man, I hate to hear of the demise of any Mini - they're all so unique in their own particular way. Glad that you're ok though

Bye

Superannuants from any state or city and pulling a caravan are a worry anywhere. Most of them waver between 60 and 90 kmh on any road or highway and have an attitude that says I have paid tax all my life and now i own the road.

Thanks for the support guys. Yeah got her details and the car insured, only for $9300 though and most poeple sell their Rovers for about $15000, it WAS in very good condition bar a few scratches.
heres a list of the parts i had ordered from UK, which were ready for shipping:
13 by 7 superlite yoko package.
Sportspack arches.
Crystal rear lenses.
clear repeaters and indicators.
cooper mirrors.
silver bonnet stripes.
cooper badging.
Was gonna get a new paint job too. The same BRG but with silver roof.

oh well. Would have been fun.
