Hi all just in the market for a set of 998 pistons......
I was thinking max cc and going the 40thou option

Are these pistons a good price? Are they worth buying?
What sort of price do they normally sell for?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Mini-PISTONS-AND ... dZViewItem

btw I have 2 * 998's sitting here (should I go 1098 pistons and try to find a 1098 crank somewhere around?)
Cheers Gerard

Yes they are good quality pistons.
Yes that price is good, some places in Sydney charge ~$320 for a set of 998 pistons & rings, or over $100 just for a ring set.
Fitting a 1098 crank (& pistons) in a 998 is a popular mod for road motors, it improves torque by 10% or more- lets you zoom up hills without rowing the gear lever.

Note the pistons shown are 998s, 1098 ones are same diameter, but slightly shorter.
If you want 1098 ones they have them too.
