Okay so since we got the motor in, me and dad have been spending countless hours in the shed getting all the panels right. The roof took the longest getting all those little bumps out..bog, sand, bog sand etc. etc. you know how it is.

so with the advice of my neighbour the spray painter we have been working away with the broadfile and the 'buzzer' (the off centered circular air powered sander) we had it to the stage where it was all pretty straight.

then the other weekend we had him spray about 6 coats of primer putty all over, and weve been spending ages sanding it all back. We are now up to sanding with 800 sandpaper so its all getting very smooth. Heres a pic of it a few days ago:



Now we have almost sanded the whole car back to 800 and its getting very close to being sprayed..I hope!

So hopefully more updates with more pics soon

what HP compressor are you using for all this ?

how far will yours be off from being on the road Aussie?

weve got a really old (unknown horsepower) compressor, aswell as a 2hp one which is brand new.

They both power the spraying guns fine but the buzzer requires a constant really high pressure which both compressors arent quite up to. So unfortunately we had to keep swapping the hoses which was a bit of a pain but we got the job done.

Its really hard to tell...very hard to put a date on it because as all you guys know things never go to plan! There's bound to be plenty of hold ups on the way

Yes tell me a bout it mine was only ment to take 6 months but it has turned into nearly 2 years.....

its also the tank size you need to consider with compressors

true, but theres always hand sanding to do somewhere else when you are waiting for the compression to build up!

There's the chance of rain for sunday so might not be getting sprayed this weekend unfortunately - but theres still chance!

lol its sanded back to 800 - its shiny because its wet from all the wet rub and wiping all the dust off
