In my infinite wisdom I 'lent' my 1275 primary gear to a mate for his motor. Now I need one for mine  He has one, it needs rebushing and he has the bushes. I understand it is a bit tricky as the 1275 primary gear is stepped and they need to be reamed. Where would be a good place to go and how much would it likely cost? So far round Canberra I haven't had much luck finding somebody who can do it.

Anto,
Usually it's the front bush (nearest motor) that wears. These days a floating bush is available for the 1275 primary gear, I fitted one to Cody's.
It just slips in after the old bush is removed (I just bore them out in the lathe).
The rear bush if worn can be replaced, then it is bored to size in a lathe, not reamed.
PM me if you need one done.
