Why do we have to use this guy? Aren't there people that do location dyno's IE they bring it, set is up, Run it and then take it away. To me this guy sounds like he's a little half baked if he wants you to orgainse transportation. I say find another operator that is more professional.

Actually, I agree with Aaron. Who will run it? Are we using this guy cause it ends up cheaper?

Methinks Aaron has a point.

Peter.

If anyone else can find someone that

a) Has A portable Dyno
b) Will do it for us
c) Will do it as cheap

I'd like to hear from you.

Basically I have a million things on my plate at the moment, but I want to see this happen. When I found someone who would do it, I didn't keep looking for more. The guy is a good operator, and the transport is his only issue - which would just as likely be an issue for anyone with the same machine - and they probably wouldn't be only around the corner from the venue.

I'm not going to chase my tail looking for someone else. If someone else knows of anyone, I'm happy to approach them, but I've already ironed out a lot of details with this guy, so I don't really want to have to start all over again. I also think it's a bit rude to just dump someone you've already been arranging things with.

Mayte,

I think I speak for everyone by saying thanks for organising this. I just think it should be easier. If this guy is cheap (thats why I asked the question ;) ) and is running it, no sweat... we just need to work out how to get it off :) Unless, as you said someone else has a better plan.

Cheers,
Peter.

We can have a Dyno shootout at a workshop any time. There's not much point IMHO in doing it away from the show - except it'd probably just make people's weekend's that much busier. The reason I was trying to organise this one was to be able to do it at the event - for all the public to see and add another dimension to the event.

See what happens. We're doing a site inspection in the next few weeks, and as soon as I have the details finalised, I'll post them here. In the mean time, I've seen who's interested and seems to want to help, so I may come knocking asking for some!! 8)

I was going to suggest if it's 600m away, why not see if he is willing to transport it to the show..seeing as it's only 600m away, it's got to be a darn sight easier if we can...

How about Mark at MRC where we held our last couple of dyno days? he's had a hand in a few of the hybrid mini's and i'm pretty sure he has taken his to shows?

Hadn't thought of them - I didn't know theirs was portable. Just rang and spoke to Mark - nice bloke. He said he'd do it, but he wants a flat fee. I'd need to get numbers and deposits a fair way in advance to make it happen.

I've started a thread for people to let me know their intention to run. If you can, please let me know ASAP so if we do have the numbers, we can get things happening.
