Come through SA... join up our smallish SA convoy and then we are linking up with the VICs in Wagga... should have ourselves a mighty convoy by the time we reach Sydney!

I wasn't going to go (hadn't even looked at it actually) but seeing as it only happens every 5 years, i think i will be going. me and my brother might be able to get the other mini licensed in time too. a trip across the nullabor in 2 minis sounds like fun :D

FWIW a few WA guys came to Hay last year. Apparently It's dirt cheap to put your car on a train from Perth to Adelaide (but not back the other way). If you looked into that, it would get rid of one of the biggest stints of the trip - and probably increase your chances of actually making it!! 8)

yeah, putting the mini on the train for part of the journey is a good idea. i was already thinking about that because according to http://www.whereis.com it is a 44 hour drive so it would probably take 3 days.

That means i would have to take 3 days off work the week before the weekend and 3 days after.

i would still like to drive the nullabor at some point though, so i could do that on the way back.

accomodation will be another problem - I'm not sleeping in my mini! (i am about 6'4")
should be able to sort something out though
