Was going through a heap of parts that I bought and have found another set of disks. These are definately 7 inch across, complete and seem to be in good nick. Are these OK stopping power wise ? Or should I go the cooper s disks ?

7 inch non s cooper discs are fine for normal use, but as far as performance use, they're just as good as a well setup set of drums...

might be worth something to the right person, tho.. ;)

Agreed. I cooked Hutto's 7" discs in a shroter period than my drums.

I wasn't even being my usual silly (read: Hoon) self :oops:

Hubs are the same as 7.5", so sell the calipers and the rest, buy some new calipers, cvs, drive flanges, discs etc. and you have a cheap(er) set of cooper S discs. :wink:

7" are alright, and if they have the 998 caliper with larger pads they are better than good drums, but only just.

Aparently in rallies when really hot and then going through water they could warp and lock on in extreme circumstances as well , not nice .

Add a booster and they are fine enough. Don't take them racing or through the hills too fast though without plenty of time to cool.

Alternatively, buy discs drive flanges and brake calipers and they can be converted to 7.5 inch. It'll cost you though!
